I’m Still Vaping… and I Am Still Mad About It

I am technically off work for Passover (which starts tonight at the time of writing this), but I made a bus trip to my campus office today. I got off about a mile from the office to pick up a coffee — so, business as usual on my end.

At least it was until I reached into my right hip pocket for my disposable vape, only to discover in horror that it needed to be charged… and I did not bring a charger with me today.

Yes. You read that right. My vape. As in, the thing that I swore (literally and figuratively) I was going to quit back in 2022:

My life is nothing like it was back when I wrote that piece. Back then, I was exclusively teaching at home; when I wasn’t teaching, I was a stay-at-home wife and freelance-blogging on the side. This trend continued until last June when I got a part-time job outside the home; this was immediately followed by consistently teaching face-to-face for the first time in three years.
