At some point, you’ve probably seen an meme on social media brandishing platitudes such as, “Judging a person does not define who they are, it defines who you are.” Or my personal favorite: “Don’t judge someone just because they sin differently than you.”

We millennials used to call these memes “Tumblr quotes” back in the early ‘10s. Now…
